I have really loved explosive arrows.. More damage, AOE, and a solid knock back.

However, you're giving up your stun, which can secure kills for you and your teammates which is very important. There are flankers that are really hard to kill without getting hit with some sort of CC like a stun or a silence, like Evie or Maeve. Not to mention that Desert Shadow gives you more stealth time and a 25% bonus damage during your stealth.

Desert Shadow is without a single doubt, the best legendary for Sha Lin, it keeps your stun, it gives you more stealth, it gives you scary damage during it that everyone that isn't a front line will run when you hit them from invisibility. It is a 3 in 1 basically, Recurve is kinda sad and should never be used, Shifting Sands is completely useless because your planted should only be used to break Shields or after a stun or to finish off a tank, with bullseye at 5 you don't need that talent.

Let's talk about this loadout, it might look weird at first glance but if you think about it you'll realise that there is nothing that can counter each card.

Bullseye 5: Free ability spam, get two kills or even elimitations and you'll have your skills back like nothing was on CD.

Wunderlust 4: free Nimble II man, makes you harder to hit and helps you reposition faster.

So now you have 2 free yellow cards, spam morale boost.

Run them down 1: More speed, can save you after you stun someone to finish them off with some normal arrow hits if they survive the planted. Basically makes you faster and harder to hit.

Swagger 1: 50 more health is no joke. You could survive so many things.

Windwall 4: I know people might think this is useless but really it isn't, 20% damage reduction in planted is a life savior, because you'll get hit a lot when you're using it. 20% is no joke at all and you can spam some haven or blast Shields to make you a sitting arrow wall. This really can help you to stay in planted and finish the full 3 seconds and 6 arrows without cancelling it too early. This card saved me from many Lian's ultimates or Fernando's flaming lance, etc. Could even save you from street justice Maeve and many other things!

So you have 5 cards that aren't countered by anything. You have speed, you have more health, you have CD reduction, you have more survivability, and you some damage reduction.

Items? Start with morale boost then get cauterize or wrecker. Or vice versa. Kill to Heal for the win, it works hand in hand with bullseye 5.

Hope it helps, give it a shot and if you like it give it a thumbs up. The playstyle is simple, you take care of flankers then you flank yourself and focus killing supports and damage dealers. If you have wrecker then you can focus on the front lines but Sha Lin is kind of a sniper so I wouldn't do that, get rid of flankers, supports and damage dealers first.
